Join us for a one-day course prepares students for all aspects of fiber optic cable installation with a heavy emphasis on Ribbon fiber. Both Enterprise and Carrier environments are well covered through the topics of Introductory Fiber Theory, Cable Information, Cable Installation, and Mass Fusion (Ribbon) Splicing with respective hands-on practice. Also covered is the use of equipment, hardware, and procedures pertaining to Ribbon fiber.
Prerequisite: A basic understanding of fiber optic theory and cable construction is helpful but not necessary.
Students are eligible for 7 BICSI continuing education credits. Certificate of completion must be submitted to BICSI for credit.
The cost per student to attend the Corning Fiber Installation Training is $500.00 USD.
