Conference Updates
All the draft conference schedule will be released on 10/14/26.
As we had only 3 signups for the companion tours we will be cancelling the companion tours. We will offer a companion accompany package which allows family members to attend:
Sunday dinner/reception
Monday Wine Tasting with food pairing event at Odonata Winery
Cindy Wu Violinist/Cellist concert
Wednesday Banquet
The cost will be 250.00/guest
The signup will be available also on 10/14/26
Urgent!! We are short on the required rooms that we need to cover to hold the conference. If you have not reserved you room or if you did not go through the HVIS 2026 Monterey (just call Hyatt Regency and let them know that you are a part of this event) website please do it ASAP.

Objectives
The Hypervelocity Impact Symposium (HVIS) is a biennial event organized by the Hypervelocity Impact Society that serves as the principal forum for the discussion, interchange, and presentation of the physics of high- and hypervelocity impact and related technical areas. It is intended for scientists, engineers, and technical managers from the academia, industry, government, and defense programs. The HVIS Symposia have a long-standing international reputation as a catalyst for stimulating research in this area through a wealth of oral and poster presentations, and commercial exhibits. The Symposium's proceedings are the major archival source of papers published in this field.
A selection of high-quality papers will be recommended for publication in a special edition of the International Journal of Impact Engineering.
