AUGUSTINE INSTITUTE | FLORISSANT, MO
Learn how to recognize and respond to the movements of the spiritual life through the wisdom of St. Ignatius of Loyola’s 14 Rules for Discernment.
Led by Father Timothy Gallagher, this retreat will offer practical guidance for discerning God’s presence and direction in your daily life while growing in freedom, peace, and deeper relationship with Christ.
What to Expect
Your retreat includes talks, participation in the Mass, opportunities for Confession, and time for Eucharistic Adoration. We’ve worked to balance times of reflection with Mass, devotions, and personal prayer, allowing you to deepen your relationship with God at your own pace.

How to Prepare
- Spend Time in Quiet Prayer - Before the retreat, set aside some quiet time to pray and invite the Holy Spirit to guide you. Ask God to open your heart to whatever He wants to reveal and to help you be present to the retreat experience.
- Take a Break from Technology - Consider taking a break from digital distractions during the retreat. Prepare by letting your contacts know you’ll be detached for a few days. This can help you slow down, be more present, and listen more attentively to God.
- Be Open to New Connections - A retreat is an opportunity to meet people who are also seeking a deeper relationship with Christ. You never know how God may use a simple conversation or new friendship.
- Prepare Your Heart for Reconciliation - Prayerfully consider receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation during the retreat. Take time to reflect on where you may need God’s mercy, healing, and grace.
Please note: Double Occupancy is reserved for married couples only.
