About the Event

Join the Black Alumni Network for an engaging conversation with Dr. Rochelle Johnson, LCSW, PhD, a licensed clinical social worker, ordained minister, womanist theologian, and proud Loyola University Chicago alumna.

Drawing from her newly released book, Systemic Oppression and Depression in Black Women: A Path Forward Through Pastoral and Spiritual Care, Dr. Johnson will explore the intersections of race, gender, faith, and mental health, with a particular focus on the lived experiences of Black women.

Guests will have the opportunity to hear Dr. Johnson share insights from her professional journey, learn about her groundbreaking work in mental health advocacy, and participate in a meaningful discussion on resilience, healing, and the importance of culturally responsive care.

This event offers a unique opportunity to engage with a distinguished Loyola alumna whose work is making a lasting impact in the fields of social work, theology, and mental health.
