July 12-19, 2026

From July 12-19, 2026, writers will meet at Fort Worden State Park on the shores of the Salish Sea to devote ourselves to our stories, take creative risks in our writing, and share in an inspiring, supportive, and resilient creative community. The Conference includes a week of generative, craft-centered workshops, lectures, readings, open mics, and communal gatherings in an environment designed to foster community, de-privilege the literary art form, and serve diverse voices from across nations. To encourage a diverse and inclusive conference with a wide range of writing experience, we seek to offer a limited number of scholarships and tuition assistance for those who would otherwise not be able to afford the cost of a workshop. To apply for tuition assistance, complete the scholarship application at the time of registration.
