For 65 years, the FQOCF has grown alongside the Family movement across Quebec, working with and for families and the organizations that support them. Throughout this journey, gatherings have enabled us to forge connections and evolve together, continuing to make a difference in the lives of families.The Rencontre nationale is the ultimate opportunity to recharge, reflect, and showcase our approach.

This major annual gathering—a highlight of our organizational life and a flagship event for Quebec’s Family ecosystem—will take place on November 3, 4, and 5, 2026, in Rivière-du-Loup. The theme is "The power to act through, for, and with families: popular education in everyday life." Over two and a half days, we will highlight the significant contribution of popular education to our organizations' missions and the values ​​of equity and social justice they uphold.

We will come together to discuss our realities and challenges, explore tools and practices that are transforming our communities, and identify concrete avenues for action. This will be an opportunity to strengthen our collective capacity to ensure that every citizen, parent, and community can take their rightful place and have their voice heard.

Designed to inspire and equip participants, the program will showcase the expertise of speakers, facilitators, and grassroots practitioners. The event will unfold in a warm atmosphere, fostering networking and collaboration among organizations and citizens from all regions of Quebec.

Since 2024, we have been exploring each of the three pillars of Autonomous Community Action for Families (ACAF) - living environments, enriching the parenting experience, and popular education - as part of our celebration of the 10th anniversary of the ACAF Toolkit. This Toolkit strengthens individual and collective agency for all stakeholders in the Family ecosystem through shared dialogue, spaces for raising awareness, and co-constructed projects. First published in 2016, it continues to guide our practices and knowledge, enabling us to keep our missions at the heart of our actions.

We deeply believe that meaningful social transformation occurs when mothers, fathers, and children become active participants in their own development. This Rencontre nationale will therefore be an opportunity to rally around a shared vision: a society where the perspective and realities of families are at the center of individual and collective actions.
