What is the KT Game©?

Build practical knowledge translation (KT) skills with the KT Game©, an interactive, hands-on tool that helps teams design effective dissemination plans. Using a card deck of real-world KT scenarios, audiences, goals, and strategies, the game makes KT planning visual, collaborative, and engaging.

What You'll Get

The KT Game© includes 58 cards featuring instructions, a planning guide, KT scenarios, and cards focused on audiences, KT goals, and KT strategies.

When to play it?

KT planning is most effective when it is collaborative. While the process can be complex and iterative, the KT Game© transforms planning into a visual, hands-on, and engaging experience. Whether used to strengthen KT planning skills or to help a project team start the KT planning process, the game offers a practical and enjoyable way to get started.

How to play it?

  1. Using The KT Game©, players choose a  "Scenario' card and then identify potential knowledge users using 'Audience' cards.
  2. Players then select 'KT goal' and 'KT strategy' cards to create a KT dissemination plan.
  3. The main messages and evaluation of the plan are also considered.  

For planning purposes, The KT Game© can be used with the KT Planning Template (KTPT).
