
The 2nd Miami International Mesothelioma Symposium 2023 (MIMS) will bring together a multidisciplinary group of experts who will share their knowledge and approaches to the treatment of mesothelioma and identify the most promising research directions. The course will examine the treatment landscape for mesothelioma and emerging data on:
• Discuss the Global Burden of Mesothelioma and identify gaps in research
• Provide information on new treatment options for mesothelioma for general practitioners and specialists
• Engage key researchers and clinicians in discussion of new treatment options
• Discuss the role of supportive care and rehabilitation in the management of MPM
The multidisciplinary discussions will illustrate the role of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, new radiation, and surgical techniques, as well as present relevant upcoming clinical trials. Patients and advocacy groups will have an opportunity to share their insights, learn about promising clinical trials, and partner with physicians to develop new strategies tailored to their specific needs.
TARGET AUDIENCE
Between 100-125 attendees are expected to attend the course. The educational activity is intended for medical oncologists, surgical and radiation oncologists, cardiothoracic and general surgeons, pulmonologists, pathologists, pharmacists, primary care physicians, physician assistants, advanced registered nurse practitioners, nurses, research members, residents, fellows, patients, and patient-advocacy groups as well as other allied health professionals.
