ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

If you are joining us in-person in Singapore, you are warmly invited to share your work at the conference’s oral and poster presentation sessions by submitting an abstract for consideration.

Abstract submissions are now closed.

The abstract submission deadline was 23:59 GMT on 3 March 2026.

Conference topics

We are planning up to 8 short oral presentations and 20 poster presentations in each of the pandemic sciences topics below, and will ask a number of poster presenters to also share their research as a flash talk.

  • Ethics and context
  • Data, analytics and artificial intelligence
  • Vaccines and immunology
  • Diagnostics and treatment
  • Pathogen biology and emerging threats
  • Policy and governance

Guidance for applicants

  • Abstracts must be 1500 characters maximum including spaces.
  • Abstracts must be submitted in English.
  • You can be the presenting author on no more than two abstracts, in one or two topics.
  • We would expect that the submitter is the presenting author.  If this is not possible, the replacement presenter must be a named author on the submission.
  • If your abstract is accepted, the Abstract Review Panel will aim to accommodate the presentation type you have chosen. However, they may offer you a slot in the other presentation format depending on availability and prioritisation.
  • Please note that your abstract, if accepted, may be assigned to a different topic from the one you have selected should the Abstract Review Panel consider that a better fit.
  • Poster presenters will be asked to provide a PDF of their posters in advance of the conference, which will be published on the conference attendee platform available to in-person and online delegates.
  • You will need to register separately for in-person attendance at the conference.

If you are submitting an abstract and are resident of a Low- or Middle-Income Country (LMIC) or an LMIC national studying as a student abroad, you can apply for a bursary to help you attend the conference.

Selection criteria

Abstracts will be reviewed by the conference Abstract Review Panel made up of experts from PSI and PREPARE. Outcomes will be communicated via email by 7 April 2026.

The Panel will assess abstracts based on the following criteria:

  • Quality of research
  • Alignment with conference topics
  • Significance of findings to the conference theme and the wider field of pandemic sciences.

We aim to select a diverse range of oral and poster presenters spanning different career stages and from a wide geographical spread.

If you are submitting an abstract and are resident of a Low- or Middle-Income Country (LMIC) or an LMIC national studying as a student abroad, you can apply for a bursary to help you attend the conference.
