Join Us at Climate Week NYC!

This event will bring together leaders from insurance, reinsurance, catastrophe modeling, and related sectors, along with graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and faculty from Cornell’s Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences. Our goal is to create a space for meaningful exchange between industry and academia around how climate risk is assessed, communicated, and applied in practice.

We are particularly interested in fostering a two-way dialogue: industry partners are advancing rapidly in areas like data science, machine learning, and real-world applications, while academic researchers bring expertise in climate dynamics, natural variability, and the physical foundations of risk. We believe there is a significant opportunity to learn from one another and to better connect climate risk information with the needs of businesses and decision-makers.

If you are interested in attending, click the "Register Now" button and fill out the form to request a spot. Please note that submitting the registration form does not automatically grant you admission to the event.

Speakers Include:

  • Associate Professor Toby Ault, Director of Graduate Studies for Atmospheric Sciences, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences

  • Assistant Professor Flavio Lehner, Cornell EAS

  • Assistant Professor Jonathan Lin, Cornell EAS
