Welcome Letter

Dear Colleagues, Ladies and Gentlemen,

It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to the 21st Philips MDCT user meeting, taking place in Prague in October 2026.

This year, we gather in a city that reflects our meeting’s spirit, where history and progress stand side by side: Gothic towers and modern architecture, cobbled streets and dynamic innovation, centuries of heritage and a forward-looking spirit. In the same way, our 21st meeting celebrates the strong foundations of computed tomography while focusing on the innovations shaping its future.

As we come together for this 21st edition, we will also celebrate the technology of the 21st century: the introduction of AI-powered Verida, setting a new standard in detector-based spectral CT. This new step in CT development reflects the direction of our field—towards faster imaging, smarter reconstruction, richer spectral insight, and more seamless workflow integration. Just as Prague connects the beauty of its past with the energy of modern life, Verida brings together established clinical excellence with a new generation of intelligent imaging performance.

The scientific program will provide a rich combination of plenary lectures, expert discussions, and interactive case-based sessions, focusing on the latest developments in conventional and spectral CT imaging. Particular attention will be given to the growing role of artificial intelligence in daily clinical practice, not as a distant concept, but as a practical tool that is already transforming image acquisition, reconstruction, interpretation, and workflow efficiency.

Prague, at the heart of Europe, has long been a meeting point of cultures, ideas, and innovation. Its rich history, strong academic tradition, and modern creative energy make it an inspiring setting for a meeting dedicated to the future of medical imaging.

The meeting will also offer opportunities for informal exchange and networking among peers.

We are confident that the 21st Philips MDCT user meeting will be a rewarding and inspiring experience for all participants. Beyond the scientific content, it will offer a valuable opportunity to exchange knowledge, share experience, and strengthen collaborations within our international community of CT users.

We look forward to welcoming you to Prague for what promises to be an exceptional meeting.

Yours sincerely,
