Course content:
The course will include:
- Key EDI concepts (protected characteristics, discrimination definitions, types of bias, microaggressions, lived experiences, etc.)
- EDI statistics - when having ‘difficult’ conversations, one of the most powerful persuasion tactics is the overwhelming weight of evidence, so this course will equip participants with key statistics to build credibility and confidence
- How to challenge clients who are knowingly creating barriers to inclusion
- How to educate clients who are unaware of the barriers they are creating
- How to support clients who want to establish inclusion in their hiring processes
How it will the course be delivered:
The course is led by an experienced facilitator who will take participants through realistic exercises and discussions. Using professional actors, we have created a range of scenarios that are true to the incidents that might take place with clients. These realistic scenarios provide the chance to get the crux of issues and you will learn how to respond constructively, through open and honest exchanges. By the end of the course, you will have a range of skills to help enhance relationships with clients – especially those who are aspiring to do more on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.
