About the Summit

Built by facilitators, for facilitators.

The Community Facilitators Summit brings together the people who carry Open Doors into communities across California. Since Train-the-Trainer cohorts launched, facilitators have been leading Core Trainings in counties from Lake to San Diego. This is our chance to gather in one room.

Expect a day of shared learning rather than lectures. In keeping with the Open Doors approach, sessions center dialogue, peer practice, and the voices of young people, grounded in harm reduction, restorative justice, cultural humility, and youth autonomy.

Who should attend

Deepen your practice

Hands-on facilitation labs, curriculum updates, and peer feedback to keep every Core Training engaging, trauma-responsive, and true to fidelity.

Center youth voice

Hear directly from young people on the Open Doors Youth Council and in the FiT program about what builds trust, and what gets in the way.

Strengthen the network
