About the Meeting

The AASHTO Census Transportation Solutions (ACTS) program invites you to join us for the 2026 Census Transportation Planning Conference. This conference is held every five years for and is an opportunity for users of the Census Transportation Planning Package (CTPP) and other Census data to exchange knowledge and share experiences.

This conference provides a forum to share experiences, best practices, research, and innovations. There will be opportunities for attendees to receive training, learn about innovative research and applications, and better understand the impacts of federal policy on Census data.

Stakeholders from MPOs and RDOs, state DOTs, the federal government, academia, and industry should attend this meeting as their participation and input is critical to the overall success of the ACTS program. In sharing technical expertise, procedures, and practices and supporting an innovative, creative environment, new approaches and efficiencies to common challenges may be achieved.

Business casual attire is encouraged during meetings and sessions. Remember a light sweater or jacket for air-conditioned meeting rooms.

New This Year

This year's conference will feature a half day training that will introduce attendees to the core features of CTPP data, and the fundamentals of how to access and utilize it.

The conference will also have an exclusive session for State DOTs that are members of the AASHTO Census Transportation Solutions program. This session will provide important program updates and tips on how to best take advantage of your membership in this TSP.

Who Should Attend?
