SCID:

SCID, an acronym for Systematic Curriculum and Instructional Development, is a systematic process model used to develop curriculum and instructional materials needed to train tomorrow's workforce.  The course is designed to teach individuals responsible for developing training programs or instructional curricula how to develop competency-based training programs and instructional materials based on the DACUM job analysis.  The SCID course is 4.5 days and is complementary to the DACUM workshop, although taking the DACUM course is not a prerequisite to take the SCID course.  The structure of the course follows the ADDIE model of instructional design.  It basically answers the question, "How can you teach most effectively what needs to be taught?"  Many schools, colleges, companies, and government agencies have benefitted from participating in this training program.
