The 17th edition of the P&I WorldPensionSummit, is taking place 3 - 5 November 2026 in The Hague. At the summit we CONNECT with peers from around the globe, ENGAGE with thought leaders and be INSPIRED by the content focused debates and Excellence & Innovation Award winners. The summit agenda is created with the help of our international Advisory Board of Industry executives, individuals who are directly involved with or influence the investment and/or outcomes of retirement plans globally..

Klaas Knot, former President of De Nederlandsche Bank will deliver the opening keynote on November 4.

Klaas will explore how today’s global instability is increasingly interconnected. Economic, geopolitical and climate-related shocks are no longer isolated events but overlapping forces that are reshaping the international landscape.

Drawing on the concept of polycrisis, he will examine how geopolitical risk, geo-economic fragmentation and the growing push for strategic autonomy are impacting Europe and the global economy — and what this means for leadership, policy and resilience in a more unpredictable world.

We are recognising and rewarding pension funds/plan sponsors that are using excellence or innovation to drive their pensions forward through innovative investment, new plan design, excellent technology and participant communication or any way that may help to drive successful outcomes for plan participants. Past winners were selected for their cutting-edge ideas and projects.

Winners will be honoured at the Awards Ceremony in November in The Hague.

These awards are designed to spotlight individuals from across the globe who are reshaping the future of pensions in their part of the world — we are specifically looking for executives with less than 10 years’ industry experience to serve as role models for other early career executives to continue to look further, defy boundaries, and help to drive outcomes for people and pensions around the globe. Whatever your role in the institutional investment industry — asset manager, asset owner, asset servicer, legal or services provider — we want to hear from you!
