Join Engineers Australia and Young Piperliners Forum for a behind-the-scenes visit to the Crowley bulk fuel storage facility. The event will begin with a brief safety briefing before attendees depart by chartered bus to the Crowley facility. On arrival, the Crowley team will provide an overview of the project and the construction of the fuel storage facility. Attendees will have the opportunity to tour Bulk Fuel Storage Facility and experience first-hand how a major fuel storage and distribution facility operates. Get an up-close look at key infrastructure, including the Jet A1 and JP5 storage tanks, marine loading and unloading systems, filtration systems and road tanker loading gantry. Throughout the visit, Operational personnel will share insights into how fuel moves through the facility from receipt and storage through to final distribution, while highlighting some of the engineering, safety and operational considerations involved. This is a great opportunity to see the infrastructure up close and gain practical insight into the mechanical, process, electrical and control systems involved. After the site visit, the chartered bus will return attendees to Darwin Services Club, where we will finish the evening with drinks, nibbles and informal networking.
