About the Meeting

The 2026 AASHTO Committee on Construction plays a critical role in advancing the Association’s mission by developing, publishing, and maintaining current guide specifications for construction, while also serving as a forum for the exchange of best practices among Member Departments. Through collaboration and coordination, the Committee works to align construction procedures, reduce costs, promote quality, enhance safety for both workers and the traveling public, and support environmentally responsible and efficient project delivery. It also serves as a key liaison with other committees to ensure a cohesive and forward-thinking approach across all areas of construction.

This work will take center stage at this year’s meeting, where members will come together to share insights, address emerging challenges, and continue shaping innovative, practical solutions for today’s construction environment. The Committee will also identify and report on federal regulatory mandates of national concern, ensuring Member Departments remain informed and aligned.
