Those attending live online will join class for all lectures, activities and labs.

Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course, learners will be able to:
- Know and use some common methods for identifying, analyzing, and resolving ethical problems, with an emphasis on clarifying conflicting positions and using dialogue to overcome this conflict.
- Develop the capacity to think analytically, critically, and creatively about ethical issues in engineering and how engineering affects society and the environment.
- Know and analyze some of the classic cases in engineering ethics and typical ethical and professional issues that arise in engineering work, especially those having to do with the triad of information, decision-maker (power and authority) and affected stake-holders.
- Explain ethical theories, moral principles, and technical details clearly and concisely.
- Explain how ethical theories, principles, and values inform common engineering practices and applicable codes of ethics and laws, with attention to how they differ by culture.
- Participants completing the course will be awarded a Certificate and are eligible for 2 Professional Development Hours (PDHs).
