OVERVIEW
This microcredential course, based on Dave Nagel’s Grading Visible Learners is designed to help educators examine and strengthen their grading and assessment practices to better support student learning, growth, and ownership. Throughout the course, participants will explore how grading can move beyond points, completion, and compliance to become a meaningful part of the learning process. Through reflection and practical application activities, educators will evaluate their current grading practices, consider the impact those practices have on learners, and apply research-informed strategies that help students better understand where they are in their learning, where they are going, and what they can do next. Participants will demonstrate their learning by developing and implementing grading and assessment practices that make learning more visible and empower students to become increasingly confident, reflective, and independent learners.
