Project Management for Internal Auditors

Attendees will learn how project management principles can be applied in day-to-day audit engagement work.

In this session, attendees will discuss how to:

• Apply project management principles throughout the internal audit lifecycle, including initiation, planning, fieldwork, reporting, and engagement closeout. 
• Develop realistic audit project plans that define scope, deliverables, responsibilities, resource needs, budgets, milestones, deadlines, and quality expectations. 
• Monitor audit progress and manage project risks by tracking performance against established baselines, identifying constraints, and responding to scope changes, delays, and resource challenges. 
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders through clear expectations, transparent status updates, timely escalation, and a no-surprises approach. 
• Strengthen audit team performance through effective delegation, coaching, constructive feedback, conflict resolution, time management, and lessons learned. 

Practical Ethics

Attendees will leave with actionable frameworks to identify ethical risks, evaluate competing priorities, and make principled decisions under pressure without compromising integrity or business performance.

In this session, attendees will:

• Understand the basic definition of ethics, how to apply it and the difference between ethics and morals 
• Learn more about the ethical dilemmas we face in the workplace and how to handle them 
• Learn about four methods to resolve ethical dilemmas
