Building Family Partnerships and Supporting Family Resilience with the Your Journey Together Curriculum
Thursdays, September 17 and 24, 2026, from 1-2:30 p.m. (ET)
One of the best gifts we can give children is a positive partnership between home and school. It is essential to foster family partnerships by honoring families’ values, cultures, and emotions, by creating a mutual goal to support children’s resilience, and by promoting the resilience of all the adult family members in a child's life.
This two-part training is designed for any professional who wants guidance for creating strong, positive, and supportive relationships between programs and families. The training will highlight how to use Your Journey Together, a resilience-building parenting curriculum specifically designed to show families how the most ordinary moments of each and every day are the perfect opportunities to promote the resilience and social-emotional health of their children and themselves.
Learning objectives:
- Learn how to use fun, simple strategies for introducing parents/families to the concepts of resilience, protective factors and their role in promoting resilience in their children and themselves
- Learn effective techniques for coaching parents through the Your Journey Together lessons
- Gain insights, confidence, and renewed energy for building strong family partnerships through dialogue and support from fellow training participants
All participants will receive a Your Journey Together Curriculum Kit!
