CALL FOR PRESENTATION PROPOSALS
The Office of Youth and Community Restoration (OYCR) and the OYCR Youth Advisory Board (YAB) invite you to submit a proposal for the 2026 California Youth Justice Summit. We are looking for interactive presentation sessions that highlight innovative practices, center systems impacted voices and promote transformative change.
The 2026 California Youth Justice Summit theme, “Heal the past, pave the future: watering the seed from youth voice to vision,” guides this year’s work and reflects our shared commitment to uplifting youth leadership and advancing meaningful change.
PRESENTATION TRACKS
All proposals should align with one of the following four tracks:
Youth Leadership & Voice
Elevating the expertise of systems impacted youth and creating platforms for leadership development.
Community Partnerships & Equity
Building bridges between local organizations, justice partners, and families to cultivate equitable outcomes.
Youth Health & Well-Being
Strategies for trauma-informed care, behavioral health, and holistic wellness.
Education Pathways & Opportunity
Strengthening access to vocational training, higher education, and career development within and beyond the justice system.
Submissions may include research studies, program evaluations, policy analysis, or innovative programs that improve outcomes for youth in California.
SESSION FORMAT
Interactive Workshops (90 Minutes): These sessions should prioritize engagement, skill-building, or collaborative problem-solving. Co-presentations that include systems impacted youth are strongly encouraged.
