A critical question lingers: have safety systems genuinely improved risk management, or merely created an illusion of safety? If not, should we change the discourse before circumstances demand it? 

As the CHC Safety & Quality Summit celebrates its 20th anniversary, the 2027 event will challenge participants to redefine safety in daily operations. Various stakeholders will collaborate to assess how real safety hinges on identifying and mitigating future risks, not just on the quantity of controls.
