Course Overview

  • This course is intended to train the practitioner on practical aspects of coastal engineering and nature-based solutions.
  • Attendees will learn about basic principles in coastal engineering (coastal processes, wave theory, sediment transport, coastal protection systems and modeling), as well as various natural and nature-based features (NNBF) that are applicable for coastal projects.
  • Participants completing the course will receive a certificate and are eligible for 2.40 Continuing Education Units (CEUs).

This is an introductory course for entry level personnel to train the practitioner on practical aspects of coastal engineering and nature-based solutions. This course is best for:

There are no prerequisites for this course.

Advance enrollment is required and may be made by individuals or companies. Since this is a high-demand course, early registration is encouraged and registration will close once seats are sold out.
