How do you benefit?

The Advanced Cardiology Education (ACE) Program equips healthcare professionals with cutting-edge technical, cognitive, collaborative, and empathetic skills essential for providing optimal care to children with heart disease.

Distinguished from conventional paediatric cardiology continuing medical education initiatives, this program features a comprehensive 33-week curriculum with an opportunity to earn 200+ learning credits and an Advanced Certificate of Completion.

Livestreamed webinars take place every Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. ET and are conveniently recorded for on-demand review.

Programming

You will zoom in and develop a fundamental knowledge of topics including fetal, neonatal and paediatric cardiac anatomy and physiology, pharmacological considerations, respiratory distress and management, and perioperative and postoperative care. You will also zoom out and gain insight on how to navigate the nuances of family-centred care. You will explore providing support to families with an antenatal diagnosis of congenital heart disease through personalized care plans (e.g. palliative care, complex care and transitioning to adult care). You will also have an opportunity to lead case presentations and participate in peer-to-peer debates on ethical issues in paediatric cardiology.
