PCQI and HACCP Virtual Training
The Current Good Manufacturing Practice, Hazard Analysis, and Risk‐based Preventive Controls for Human Food regulation (referred to as the Preventive Controls for Human Food regulation ) is intended to ensure safe manufacturing/processing, packing and holding of food products for human consumption in the United States. The regulation requires that certain activities must be completed by a “preventive controls qualified individual” or PCQI. This course, developed by Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance (FSPCA), is the “standardized curriculum” recognized by FDA; successfully completing this course is one way to meet the requirements for a “preventive controls qualified individual. This course is the current version 2.0 of the curriculum.
Once PCQI training is completed, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) after PCQI will commence. The training will cover all elements of Preventive Controls for Human Food regulations in addition to HACCP. The course will be live, virtual and participants will be expected to attend the entire course with their cameras on. Two certificates, PCQI and HACCP, will be issued to only those who attend the entire course.
