The National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN®) is pleased to present its annual NCLEX® Virtual Conference; a one-day, educational conference that provides NCLEX® program updates offered by the experts that develop and administer the exam. The 2026 NCLEX® Conference will also provide the opportunity to ask questions about the NCLEX® program.

The theme for this year’s conference is Foundations for the Future: Entry-Level Nursing Assessment and Clinical Judgment, and you will not want to miss it! For the first time ever, NCSBN invited educators, researchers and assessment professionals to submit abstracts for presentations, and the response we received was significant. Attendees will benefit from a day that covers innovative strategies in evidence-driven assessment and topics of interest to prelicensure nurse educators to ensure graduates are prepared for safe, effective patient care.

Live polls of the audience will be taken throughout the day and analyzed in real time by the facilitators, highlighting key takeaways, and connecting audience sentiment to broader themes and challenges. Attendees will also have ample opportunities to have their questions answered.

2026 PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

  • Discuss the role of standardized testing in assessing entry-level practice-ready nurses.
  • Analyze current trends and challenges in entry-level practice and the use of clinical judgment
  • Interpret the various entry-level clinical judgment approaches that an educator or clinician may use.
