Barbara Alving

The ABRF Award was presented to Barbara Alving in recognition of her role as the former acting director of the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute of the NIH, and the Director of the National Center for Research Resources. In this role, she was responsible for encouraging, nurturing, and broadening the scope of the Shared Instrument Grant program, which has contributed substantially to support and advance core facilities.
Alving will accept and present at the 2024 Annual Meeting: "The Ongoing Evolution of Biomedical Resource Facilities: Building Networks from Patchworks".
