The Winter Advocacy Retreat (WAR College) is NSO’s foremost training event where NSO members unite from across the country to deliver staff-to-staff presentations which protect rights, build power, and strengthen our union.  The 2027 WAR College offers a diverse selection of presentations from both seasoned and first-time trainers including parliamentary procedure, grievance processing, self-care, negotiations, DEI, advocacy, leadership, organizing, and conflict mediation.

When we depart Las Vegas, we take with us a toolkit of resources and stories to share, new friendships and connections, and a reminder of the collective power we possess as the largest staff union in this country. 

United. Protecting Rights. Building Power. Strengthening Our Union. 

And remember…unlike other trips to Vegas, what you learn at WAR, needs to go home!
