About Our California HMDR Exemptee Course:

  1. This course is $525 per student. No extra fees to retake quizzes. 
  2. This course is accepted by the California Department of Public Health - Food and Drug Branch. 
  3. This is a web class. After completing the purchase the confirmation page will reveal the web link for class and the enrollment key. A copy will be sent via ewmail.
  4. Students review pre-recorded presentations covering the required content for certification.
  5. Closed captions are displayed. Students can read what the course instructor is teaching. This feature helps ESL (English as a second language) students, and hard of hearing students.
  6. Following each presentation the student takes the final exam. Students may review the content of any section as many times as you want. Students may take the exam for each section as many time as you NEED to get a passing score (85%). Students get instant feedback on your test performance.
  7. When you pass all 8 exams, click on the appropriate link. at the bottom of the page, to request the documentation appropriate for the agency the student is applying to.
  8. Training Certificates for Exemptees are sent to the address that the student provides at the end of the course. We ship using FedEx. Documentation will be delivered to you by Thursday afternoon, unless overnight service was purchase.

  1. Knowledge and understanding of California and federal laws regarding the distribution of dangerous drugs and dangerous devices.
  2. Knowledge and understanding of California and federal laws regarding the distribution of controlled substances.
  3. Knowledge and understanding of United States Pharmacopoeia standards for the safe storage and handling of drugs.
  4. Knowledge and understanding of safe storage and handling of home medical devices.
  5. Knowledge and understanding of quality control systems.
  6. Knowledge and understanding of prescription terminology, abbreviations, format.
