Professional Governance in Action: Turning Vision into Practice

Join leading experts in professional governance for a dynamic, full-day interactive workshop designed to deepen understanding of professional governance and advance peer leadership skills of nurses in all roles. This program is designed to equip participants at every stage of the professional governance journey—from those building foundational structures to those advancing mature governance models.

The morning session will feature insights from respected thought leaders in the field, including Judi Hahn, PhD, RN, NEA-BC, CPHQ and Beverly Hancock, DNP, RN, NPD-BC, CENP, FAAN who will explore the cultural foundations and leadership behaviors that enable professional governance to thrive. Through real-world examples and discussion, participants will examine how professional identity, leadership accountability, and shared decision-making create the conditions for sustainable governance.

In the afternoon, participants will move from concept to application through highly interactive workshops, selecting one of four deep-dive tracks focused on key dimensions of governance implementation: leadership behaviors, structural foundations, system-wide governance design, or ambulatory and alternative setting designs. These facilitated sessions will provide real-world strategies and adaptable tools for establishing a culture of ownership and accountability and the governance structures that support it. 

Participants will leave with new insights, tangible tools, and practical approaches they can immediately apply to lead effectively and strengthen professional governance within their organizations.
