Real Gifts, Real Donors
Gift Planning When It’s Not Your Full-Time Job
Real Gifts, Real Donors: Gift Planning When It’s Not Your Full-Time Job is a practical session designed for development professionals who want to grow planned giving without adding complexity or overwhelming limited staff resources. Through real donor stories and proven strategies, attendees will learn how to focus on approachable, high-impact gifts such as bequests, appreciated stock, QCDs, and donor-advised funds. The session emphasizes simple systems, consistent marketing, and meaningful donor stewardship that can help turn everyday conversations into lasting philanthropic relationships.
Speaker: Bill LaBore — Director of Planned Giving, Loma Linda University Health
William “Bill” LaBore serves as Director of Planned Giving at Loma Linda University Health, where he helps individuals and families develop charitable and estate-planning strategies that reflect their values, support the people they love and create lasting philanthropic legacies.
