In accordance with established policy, all Peer Review Committee Members just attend a Peer Review Training course at least once every three years in order to qualify for continued participation on the committee. The workshops are designed to familiarize volunteers with the necessary formal procedures in place, and once this knowledge is achieved, act as periodic reinforcement to assure that the process is conducted consistently throughout the state.

Beginning in 2021,  the Peer Review certification course was opened to NJDA members who are not Peer Review Committee members. The value of this course for interested members is in understanding how Peer Review works, as well as providing information on correct practice requirements as required by the State Board of Dentistry.  This course is offered with no fee as a members-only benefit.   Please note that while this course is a requirement for Peer Review Committee members, completing this course only makes one eligible to be on a committee. Committee members are chosen by each component’s Committee Chair.
