The Wagners It’s a Bloke Thing Luncheon has grown into one of Queensland’s largest daytime fundraising events, raising more than $18 million since its inception.
What began in 2010 as a simple conversation between four mates has evolved into a powerful movement dedicated to breaking down barriers and encouraging open, honest conversations about men’s health.
At its core, the event is about more than fundraising. It exists to spark dialogue between mates, families, and communities, because awareness saves lives and early action makes a difference in the fight against prostate cancer.

Our annual fundraising luncheon often sells out months in advance. If you’re unable to attend in person this year, you can still be part of the impact through our Virtual Blue Seats.
A Virtual Blue Seat is a simple way to support the It’s a Bloke Thing Foundation, with a minimum $20 donation helping fund prostate cancer nurses, awareness, research, and mobile PSA testing

ABOUT IT’S A BLOKE THING FOUNDATION
The It’s a Bloke Thing Foundation is a registered not-for-profit dedicated to raising awareness, funding research, and improving care for men affected by prostate cancer across Australia, with a strong focus on regional and rural communities.
The idea for the annual luncheon began in 2010 when two mates, both recently diagnosed with prostate cancer, realised how little men were talking about their health. From that conversation, they created an event to change the narrative and encourage open discussion about men’s health.
First held in Toowoomba in 2011, the Wagners It’s a Bloke Thing Luncheon has since grown into one of Australia’s largest daytime fundraising events, raising more than $18 million to support prostate cancer research and initiatives, including the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia. Its ongoing mission is to break down barriers and save lives through awareness and conversation.
