We are delighted to welcome you to this inaugural international Summit, hosted by the Primary Aldosteronism Centre of Excellence, an NHMRC-funded Centre of Research Excellence established to improve the diagnosis and management of primary aldosteronism.
The Summit has been shaped by an international Program Organising Committee, bringing together world leaders in the field to deliver a state-of-the-art scientific program. We are pleased to welcome clinicians, researchers, trainees and industry partners with an interest in primary aldosteronism and the broader field of aldosterone dysregulation.
Once considered a niche endocrine disorder, aldosterone dysregulation is now recognised as a major contributor to hypertension and the wider cardio-kidney-metabolic disease continuum. This paradigm shift has created exciting opportunities to improve diagnosis, develop targeted therapies and transform cardiovascular and renal outcomes worldwide.
Over two and a half days, the Summit will showcase cutting-edge basic, translational and clinical research spanning the full spectrum of aldosterone biology — from disease mechanisms and diagnostic innovation to precision therapeutics, implementation science and global models of care. The program will bring together international experts in endocrinology, hypertension, cardiology, nephrology, surgery, radiology, pathology and allied disciplines to share knowledge, foster collaboration and shape the next generation of research and clinical practice.
The Summit will be held at Crowne Plaza Melbourne, ideally located on the Yarra River in the heart of Melbourne. The venue offers a contemporary and welcoming setting for the meeting, with dedicated conference facilities, accommodation and a range of dining and networking spaces all in one location.
