RI State Chapter Meeting

Join NEAHMA for the RI State Chapter Meeting featuring an informative presentation from Gateway Healthcare will provide an overview of Rhode Island’s collaborative approach to responding to mental health and substance use crises. Through partnerships with local law enforcement and Crisis Intervention Team (CIT)-trained officers, behavioral health clinicians work alongside police to safely de-escalate crisis situations, connect individuals with appropriate services, and prioritize treatment and stabilization over involvement in the criminal justice system.

This presentation will highlight how this partnership works and the resources available to individuals and communities.

The meeting will also include a RIHousing Update.
