The School of Social Work at The University of Memphis is pleased to announce its 13th Social Work Symposium:

Social Work: Advocating for Community Well-Being

This year, we highlight the essential role of social work in promoting holistic health and prosperity within communities. In an increasingly interconnected and complex world, social workers are uniquely positioned to address the multifaceted challenges that individuals and communities face. Presentations will highlight the role of social work in developing strategies that prioritize the health, dignity, and empowerment of all community members.

The Power of Community: Unlocking Collective Well-Being in Social Work

Community is more than connection—it's the foundation for well-being and lasting change. When we shift from individual success to collective growth, we create stronger support systems, amplify impact, and open new possibilities for advocacy. We will explore how social workers can harness the power of community to build a better future.
