As the growing season winds down, the Friendship Garden at The Farm Institute begins to change. Join us for a family-friendly walk through the garden to explore this season of transition—what’s still growing, what’s going to seed, what’s being harvested, and what’s preparing for winter.

Together, we’ll notice what the garden has to offer in early October, with opportunities to taste, explore, and reflect on the past growing season. We’ll consider what it means for a plant to be dormant or finished, what we choose to save for the future, and how gardeners and farmers adapt as growing conditions change.
