The Global Innovation Conference for Research, Policy, and Practice will be held on November 17-19, 2026 at the PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay in Singapore. The conference is co-hosted by the Impact Funders Forum, facilitated by The Pew Charitable Trusts, and Centre for Evidence and Implementation.
Building on past convenings in Miami (2022) and Cape Town (2024), the conference brings together an international community of experts studying and innovating in evidence-informed policy and practice. Conference attendees include researchers, practitioners, intermediaries, policymakers, funders, and others working in a range of domains, including health, education, environment, technology, and economic mobility. Attendees will have opportunities to gain new insights from innovations around the world, engage in cross-sector networking, and develop collaborations to maximize the impact of research and evidence.
The 2026 conference will focus on new challenges and opportunities for the use of research and evidence in society. Keynotes and plenaries will address key drivers of change, including artificial intelligence, shifting information landscapes, global coordination, and trust in science.
Sessions will include action-oriented deep dives, workshops, panels, and lightning talks. Focal areas include:
- The latest scholarship and methodologies about ensuring research and evidence are useful, used, and trusted to make a difference in the world.
- Innovations and promising practices for ensuring that research more consistently translates to policy, practice, and community benefit.
- Strategies to institutionalize and scale effective approaches that increase the reach and impact of research and evidence.
The conference will also serve as the launch of a new journal and platform, IMPACT, that advances knowledge and practice about the use and societal impact of research, connecting and growing the expertise and deep knowledge of this global community.
The conference will start at 9:00AM SGT on Tuesday, November 17, 2026 and will end by 3:00PM SGT on Thursday, November 19, 2026. There is an optional welcome reception on the evening of Monday, November 16, 2026.
A preliminary conference agenda and information about opportunities to contribute to conference sessions will be available in September 2026.
The Impact Funders Forum unites philanthropic and public funders from diverse sectors to close the gap between research and outcomes. The Centre for Evidence and Implementation is a global evidence intermediary and advisory organization dedicated to using the best evidence in practice and policy to improve people’s lives.
