COURSE OVERVIEW

The Florida Third Space Endoscopy Workshop aims to update practicing advanced endoscopists in the latest procedures in third space endoscopy, including endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD), per-oral endoscopic myotomy (POEM), gastric per-oral endoscopic myotomy (G-POEM), submucosal tunneling resection, and more.

The primary goal of the course is to provide a comprehensive, individualized hands-on workshop on current and emerging techniques in third space endoscopy. The course will have two different agendas: one tailored for beginners and one for those with prior exposure and clinical experience in third space endoscopy (advanced). The hands-on sessions will be taught by experience world-renowned experts in the field. The low faculty to participant ratio will ensure a one-of-a kind immersive workshop.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

· Immersive dedicated hands-on workshop in third space endoscopy

· Course designed with separate agendas tailored for beginners and experienced endoscopists in third space endoscopy

· Intensive hands-on experience in ex-vivo and animate models with low faculty to attendee ratio

· Live endoscopy and video case-base discussions with world-renown faculty

· Short didactics

 TARGET AUDIENCE

· Endoscopists of any experience level interested in third space endoscopy techniques

· Gastroenterologists, surgeons and others in the GI field who are interested in learning the most current and advanced techniques in third space endoscopy.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

At the conclusion of the workshop, participants should be able to:

· Understand and demonstrate the core techniques for POEM and ESD (knowledge and application)

· Identify the benefits of ESD for the management of neoplastic lesions in the GI tract (knowledge)

· Identify the risks of third space endoscopic procedures and the correct identification and management of adverse events (knowledge)

· Understand the type of lesions in the gastrointestinal tract most suitable for ESD (knowledge)

· Demonstrates proper techniques of endoscopic submucosal dissection including the use of traction assistance (application)

· Demonstrates proper use of tissue apposition and closure devices (application)

COURSE REGISTRATION

1. Hands-On Beginners Course Registration: 

· Dates: November 15-16, 2026

· Course tailored to those with no or limited hands-on experience in third space endoscopy

· Course registration includes:

1. Day 1 includes immersive hands-on training using explant models. Total hands-on training of 7.0 hours.
2. Hands-on lab faculty to attendee ratio of 1:3 per station.
3.  Live endoscopy case presentations and didactic sessions.
4. Evening Reception to meet and interact with the faculty in an informal setting.

· The hands-on beginner registration is limited to 23 attendees to provide an immersive hands-on workshop with plenty of time to interact and learn from the faculty.

2. Hands-On Advanced Course Registration:

· Dates: November 15-17, 2026

· Course tailored to those with some clinical experience in third space endoscopy.

· Course registration includes:

1. A 3-day immersive hands-on training with explant models on day 1 and animate models on days 2 and 3. Total hands-on training of 16.5 hours.
2. Hands-on lab faculty to attendee ratio of 1:3 per station on day 1 and 1:2 per station on days 2 and 3.
3. Live endoscopy case presentations and video-based case discussions.
4. Evening Reception to meet and interact with the faculty in an informal setting.

· The hands-on advanced registration is limited to 40 attendees to provide an immersive hands-on workshop with plenty of time to interact and learn from the faculty.
