Program Overview
The Babson Youth Entrepreneurship Boot Camp is a three-day, immersive program where high school students work in teams to identify meaningful problems and present actionable solutions. Designed for rising high school sophomores through seniors, the Boot Camp uses Babson’s Entrepreneurial Thought & Action (ET&A®) approach to build critical thinking, resilience, problem-solving, and storytelling skills, enabling students to gain confidence as changemakers.
The experience begins with defining what it means to think and act like an entrepreneur. Students then explore the UN Global Goals, connect these challenges to their own lives, and select a problem to address with a focus on real-world impact.
Through team building, empathy journeys, market research, and customer discovery, students deepen their understanding of the people affected by their chosen problem and existing solutions. They then brainstorm, prototype with everyday materials, develop customer personas, and test ideas, securing feedback to quickly and creatively refine their concepts.
Finally, students translate their research to facilitate the sharing of Rocket Pitches, thereby strengthening public speaking and persuasive storytelling skills. The program concludes with brand-building and business model design sessions, where participants structure how they and their ventures can create, deliver, and capture value sustainably.
