Description:  Leaders become more influential when they learn to deliberately focus their attention while listening.   Most of us have unconscious listening habits, often leading to asking questions to solicit the information we believe is important or necessary.

Listening is not a passive skill, as people who practice active listening or validation know.  These can contribute positively to understanding, but they can also be misleading.  There is a third way of listening, that can – when practiced with sincerity -  lead to radically new appreciation and understanding between people. It will not only result in better relationships, it will change you too, and increase the trust and respect between a leader and the people they work with.

"We all have habitual ways of listening, many of which serve us well, but sometimes fail us when there is a need to improve an important relationship at work.  This workshop introduces a listening practice that will assist you to improve these relationships and give you an appreciation of the power of your focus in any conversation." - Marion Langford

Deliberately focus your listening to deepen understanding, build trust, and transform relationships.

Learning objectives:

  • To explore and name current listening habits (and their pros and cons)
  • To practice a new way of listening
  • Develop a variety of methods for confirming your understanding of what you heard
  • Identify a relationship you’d like to transform, and develop a plan for bringing this listening practice to that relationship

Reserve your spot to learn a powerful listening approach that deepens understanding, builds stronger connections, and elevates your leadership.
