The College of Education at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) proudly presents its 2nd Annual Future Educator Conference—a dynamic event designed to ignite passion and purpose in the next generation of educators.
This inaugural conference invites aspiring educators in the form of high school students and current education students to come together for a day of inspiration, learning, and connection. With the theme Come As You Are: Education Careers That Welcome Every Story!,” the event will feature engaging sessions, thought-provoking discussions, and opportunities to explore the important landscape of education.
Keynote Speaker Trevor T. Newton, M.Ed., ECSE
Keynote Speaker Bio
As an early childhood educator since 2011, Trevor holds a Bachelor's in Elementary Education and a master's in early childhood special education. Through dynamic presentations, he empowers educators, emphasizing collaborative leadership and creating enriching learning environments for young children. Trevor has presented at prestigious conferences such as NAEYC, RMECC, and the Georgia Preschool Association. He offers consulting services tailored to schools, teachers, and parent groups, with a focus on early childhood education.
Central to Trevor Newton’s identity is his commitment and love for his family. Trevor has been married to his high school sweetheart, Lauren, since 2012. Lauren, a dedicated high school teacher and department chair, has been recognized as Teacher of the Year. Both Trevor and Lauren are proud alumni of Monmouth College and were honored as Distinguished Young Alumni in 2024.
