ETHOS ART Training Program

UT Southwestern hosts one of the most active and comprehensive adaptive therapy programs in the country. We offer a structured training course on the Ethos CBCT-guided adaptive therapy system, which has demonstrated significant potential in improving treatment quality across multiple disease sites. The course includes site-specific workflow training, hands-on practice with adaptive planning tools, and simulation of the online adaptive treatment process. Participants will also engage in interactive discussions with our clinical team to gain practical insights and explore strategies for efficient team coordination. This course is designed to equip attendees with the knowledge and skills needed to support adaptive therapy implementation in their own clinics.
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Describe the principles and rationale for online adaptive radiotherapy and its clinical advantages across multiple disease sites.
- Identify key components of Ethos-guided ART workflow, from simulation to online adaptation and treatment delivery.
- Demonstrate hands-on proficiency in adaptive planning, contour review, and emulation of online adaptation processes using the Ethos system.
- Evaluate clinical staffing models and team-based strategies to optimize adaptive workflow efficiency and reduce physician burden.
- Discuss site-specific considerations, including imaging, contouring, and quality assurance for implementing ART protocols.
Target Audience:
Physicians, medical physicists, radiation therapists, physician assistants, advanced practice nurses, psychologists and nurses interested in implementing adaptive radiotherapy into clinical practice or those seeking to refresh skills are encouraged to attend this program.
