WORKSHOP AGENDA
Friday, September 11
- 8:30 AMRegistration Opens and Breakfast
- 9:00 AMWelcome, Objectives and Survey of Attendees
- 9:30 AMThe AI Landscape: What's Real, What's HypeEveryone is talking about AI, but what can it actually do today? This session explores the reality behind the headlines, covering where AI consistently delivers results, where it struggles, and what's likely coming next. Through live demonstrations using real Family Office AI use cases, you'll gain practical insights to separate vendor promises from operational reality.
- 10:15 AMConfidentiality, the Family Office VersionFamily offices face confidentiality risks that don't show up in a typical corporate risk assessment: physical security and everyday data, the family itself as the boundary to protect, and advisors who may already be running your documents through AI tools. You'll complete an AI Data Readiness assessment and a data classification exercise, then tackle the day's central exercise: deciding what data can safely touch these tools.
- 11:00 AMBreak
- 11:15 AMThe Three Decisions Every Office Now FacesCut through the noise and focus on the three decisions every family office needs to make about AI: how much control you need over your data, what actually happens to a document once it enters an AI tool, and how to put AI to work on your files without giving them away. This session pairs a practical decision framework with interactive case studies.

- 1:15 PMThe Internal Tiered Decision-Rights MatrixBefore any AI tool goes live in your office, three questions need clear answers. What is the tool allowed to do on its own? Who reviews what it produces? And who owns the output if it's ever challenged? This session walks through building a decision-rights matrix that answers all three.
- 1:45 PMGovernance Questions to Ask Any ProviderSomeone in your office needs to own the "is this safe to use" decision, and this session helps you figure out who that should be. You'll leave with a one-page set of governance questions to bring to any AI provider, including this one, and including your law firm and your accountants.
- 2:15 PMFrom Risk to Opportunity: Practical AI for Family OfficesYour office will meet AI in two different roles: as an operator running its own business, and as an allocator evaluating investments. This session works through realistic scenarios so you can identify the ones most relevant to your office and see what similar offices are actually doing. It closes with a hands on AI Workflow Lab, where you'll build practical workflows you can put to use as soon as you're back at your desk.
- 3:15 PMBreak
- 3:30 PMBreakout GroupsThis is where the day turns into commitment. In small groups, you'll identify your first three moves: specific steps, each with a named owner, sorted into what to start right away and what deserves a closer look first.
- 4:30 PMWrap UpThe note you'll send your team Monday morning, and the three moves that need to be in it.
