Strengthening Midwest VITA Partnerships to Expand Free Tax Preparation Sites and Increase Volunteer Recruitment (Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, South Dakota and North Dakota)

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) are hosting a webinar to support the expansion of Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) sites and volunteers. The webinar will focus on how banks can partner with nonprofit organizations to grow VITA programs across the FDIC’s Kansas City Region, which includes Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, South Dakota, and North Dakota. The session will outline Community Reinvestment Act (CRA)-qualifying opportunities for banks involved in VITA activities and share examples of these partnerships.
