Learn how to use the Leveled Literacy Intervention (LLI) system to improve students’ literacy outcomes. 

This six-day training prepares teachers to provide intensive instruction to small groups of readers and writers who need additional support in the intermediate, middle, and upper grades utilizing the LLI systems. 

Learn about procedures and rationales for lessons that will engage students in phonics and word study, writing about reading, and comprehending to improve reading proficiency. Examine how to use responsive teaching to accelerate students’ proficiency with reading increasingly challenging texts. Gain an understanding of the systems and how to use the three types of lesson structures—standard, novel, and test preparation—to support students’ literacy development.
