Continuing Education
The Health Care Facilities Innovation Conference has been approved to provide the following types of continuing education:
- ASHE/AHA CECs
- AIA LUs & LU|HSWs
- ACHE Qualified Education Credits
If attendees are looking for additional continuing education providers, they are required to self-report these credits to all other organizations.
Continuing Education Overview
Full Conference Attendees may earn*:
- Up to 22.5 CECs for general and breakout sessions during the conference.
- Plus up to 7.0 CECs are available for select pre-conference programs. (Separate registration required, credits vary per pre-con.)
- Plus 2-12.5 CECs for participation in the post-conference. (Separate registration required, credits vary per post-con.)

Continuing Education Credit Tracking
Breakout Sessions & General Sessions:
Get familiar with the process before you arrive! To earn your CECs, you must use the 2026 Health Care Facilities Innovation Conference mobile app. There will be no badge scanning.
1. CHECK IN TO THE SESSION
- Check-in time opens 15 minutes before each session begins & closes at the scheduled end time.
- If you miss a check-in please visit the Help Desk for assistance.
2. ENTER THE SESSION CODE DISPLAYED IN THE ROOM.
3. COMPLETE THE EVALUATION AFTER THE SESSION.
- Please complete only the evaluations for the sessions you check into on the mobile app.
- Only 1 session per time slot will be recorded.
Sponsored Sessions
To receive continuing education credits for sponsored sessions, attendees must have their badges scanned at the entrance of each session. These sessions are 30 minutes or longer.
Sessions less than 30 minutes do not qualify for credits.
Conference Transcript and Evaluations
- A conference transcript certificate will be e-mailed out by 5:00 p.m. on August 5, 2026, the last day of the conference.
- If you complete any evaluations after August 5, 2026, Please contact ASHEeducation@aha.org for the latest certificate.
- All conference evaluations will close on September 1, 2026.
How do I get my credits?
ASHE/AHA
ASHE a professional membership group of the American Hospital Association provides Continuing Education Credits (CECs) that can be used toward the renewal of the Certified Health Care Facility Manager (CHFM) credential and the Certified Health Care Constructor (CHC) credential.
- Transcript certificates will be e-mailed out by 5:00 p.m. on August 5, 2026, the last day of the conference.
- If you complete any evaluations after August 5, 2026, Please contact ASHEeducation@aha.org for the latest certificate.
- Evaluations will close on September 1, 2026.

NEW for CHFM Holders!
Your CECs from the Health Care Facilities Innovation Conference will be automatically uploaded to your AHA Certification portal by September 13, 2026.
- This benefit is only available for current CHFM holders who check in and complete session evaluations for the ASHE Annual Conference.
- ASHE is working to get this same automation available to those with a current CHC soon.
AIA
ASHE is an AIA CES Provider and have submitted all in-person sessions for AIA CES approval.
ASHE will handle the submission of session attendance on behalf of attendees who complete the steps provided below. Please be aware that AIA attendance cannot be self-reported for the conference.
Please check here to view which sessions are LU or LU|HSW approved.
To ensure you receive your AIA LUs & LU|HSWs:
- Check in to the session on the mobile app using the session code.
- Attend the full session time.
- Provide your AIA member number when providing evaluation feedback so ASHE can report your attendance to AIA.
All evaluations will close on September 1, 2026.
- ASHE will submit your attendance to AIA by September 13, 2026.
- On Demand sessions recording will not be submitted for AIA CES approval, and will need to be self-reported to AIA.

ACHE
By participating in the 2026 Health Care Facilities Innovation Conference, organized by the American Society for Health Care Engineering, a professional membership group of the American Hospital Association, individuals can accumulate a maximum of 19.5 ACHE Qualifying Education Hours for the initial certification or recertification of the Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) title. Individuals enrolled in this program who seek to have their continuing education hours count towards ACHE Qualified Education credit are required to self-report their participation. To self-report, individuals must log in to their MyACHE account and choose ACHE Qualified Education Credit.

Individuals are responsible for maintaining their own continuing education records. Please download and save your CEC/Certificate of Attendance on a secure system and device for future reference needs or audits.
