Abstract

Clinical case competitions offer young clinicians a unique opportunity to demonstrate not only the quality of their clinical work, but also their ability to think critically, communicate clearly, and present a compelling treatment journey to an international audience. But what truly distinguishes an award-winning case from a good clinical case? In this inaugural webinar of the “From China to the World” series, Prof. Xin Wang will be joined by Dr. Zihan Guo and Dr. Keremcan Kuru for an interactive discussion exploring the journey behind successful clinical case presentations. Drawing on their experiences in clinical practice, mentorship, academic preparation, and international competition, the speakers will discuss how to select a meaningful case, establish a clear treatment rationale, document the clinical process, critically evaluate outcomes, and transform complex clinical information into an engaging and scientifically sound presentation. The webinar will also explore the role of mentorship, repeated refinement, visual communication, and presentation skills, offering practical guidance for clinicians preparing to participate in future national and international clinical case competitions.
